Community Partner

Merchants Moving & Storage is proud to be a locally owned Boise based company since 1944.  We are committed supporters and partners to our local community.  Here are a few of the organizations we support.

Move For Hunger

Since 2012 Merchants Moving & Storage has partnered with Move for Hunger.  Move for Hunger is a non-profit organization that works with relocation companies to collect non-perish food items and delivers it to food banks across North America.  When our customers are moving and they have unopened non-perishable food items they want to discard our crews will pack it up and deliver it to the Idaho Food Bank.  In the fall we have a Fill the Truck Food Drive held at Albertsons locations where we collect food for the Idaho Foodbank.  We also have a virtual food drive where people and go online and donate directly to the Idaho Foodbank.  Since 2012 we have delivered 17,452 lbs. of food to the Idaho Food Bank that equals 20,942 meals to Idaho families in need.

Festival of Trees-St Alphonsus Hospital

Merchants Moving & Storage is honored to be involved with the Festival of Trees for the past 33 years.  Our drivers and trucks help deliver the beautifully decorated trees to their new homes.  As a favorite holiday event, the Festival has raised more than $8 million dollars to improve healthcare in our community.

Susan G. Komen / Boise Race for the Cure

Merchants Moving & Storage is proud to sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Boise Race for a Cure. The first Komen Boise Race for the Cure® was held in 1999. With over 6,500 participants, it was the largest ever participation level for a Komen first year race. In 17 years, Komen Idaho has been able to grant out over $5.3 million into our 28 county service area to provide uninsured and underinsured Idahoans with vital breast health services. By Participating in Race for the Cure, you are becoming a part of Komen Idaho’s mission to end breast cancer forever Click here to learn more:

7 Cares Idaho Shares

The generosity of thousands of people throughout the Treasure and Magic valleys helped make 7Cares Idaho Shares Day a rousing success.  Despite chilly, rainy weather, good-hearted Idahoans turned out in droves to donate cash and food at Albertsons Stadium and Fred Meyer stores in the Treasure Valley and Twin Falls.

All donations will go to these ten deserving local charities:

  • The Idaho Foodbank
  • River of Life Men’s Shelter
  • City Light Women’s & Children’s Shelter
  • Lighthouse Rescue Mission of Nampa
  • Valley Women & Children’s Shelter
  • The Salvation Army of Ada County, Caldwell, Nampa, and Twin Falls
  • Jubilee House of Twin Falls
